Assistant Principal

ACHS Assistant Principal, Dr. Jennifer Ramey

Mrs. Ramey

Thank you for taking the time to visit my web page!  I am honored and privileged to be able to serve Amelia County as the Amelia County High School Assistant Principal.  Prior to becoming the Assistant Principal at the high school, I was Assistant Principal at Amelia County Elementary School beginning in the fall of 2017.  Prior to that, I served Amelia County Public Schools in the capacity of Amelia County High School Special Education Coordinator for six years, and High School Special Education teacher for five years prior to that.

I grew up in Amelia County, attended Amelia County Public Schools, and graduated from Amelia County High School.  My parents and many family members still live in the county. I am married to my wonderful husband, David, and have two sons, two step-daughters, and three grandchildren.  While I currently reside in Chesterfield County with my husband, I am proud to still be a part of the Amelia community through my work here at Amelia County High School.

After graduation from high school, I began working full-time and soon found myself raising a family.  When my youngest child began attending Amelia County Elementary School, I began attending college to become a teacher.  In 2006, I graduated from Longwood University and began teaching at Amelia County High School. Since that time, while working and raising a family, I have earned a Masters degree in Special Education through Longwood University and my Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction through Liberty University.

I am excited to work with the students, staff, parents, and community of Amelia County High School and am eager to be a part of the continued growth as we move forward.  Please contact me with any questions or concerns; my door is always open.
