2018-2019 Local Scholarships

ACHS Counseling is happy to announce that Local Scholarships are now available to our entire senior class! We are very lucky to have many organizations support our students, and thank them for their participation. Please contact Mr. Coyne (804.561.9330) if you have any questions about local scholarships. All applications are due to Mr. Coyne no later than March 20th, 2019, unless an earlier due date is indicated on an application.

National Scholarships

You can start working on national scholarships as early as the summer. These scholarships are extremely competitive and should be completed with the up-most

care. If you feel like you will need lots of scholarship money, national scholarships are a great way to start.

Online Scholarships are a scam if:

Students are asked to pay a fee

Students are asked for his/her social security number

Students are asked for bank account information

Students see phrases such as "come for a free seminar", "we'll do all the work for you", etc.

Students see 900 area codes (ex: 1-900-###-####)

You believe it sounds too good to be true.
