The ACHS adapted PE class visited Surge trampoline park today. The students played a variety of games, did tons of jumping on the trampoline and even worked with balance beams and zip lines. It was truly an amazing experience for the students as they learned to overcome fears and work together to find solutions to physical challenges. 💚💛#RAIDERSRISE #GetUpShowUpAndShine
On Wednesday, March 13, seven ACHS seniors participated in the AspHIRE Mock Interview Day at Longwood University. AspHIRE Mock Interview Day provides juniors & seniors an opportunity to hone their interview skills with a local professional. This change provides an extra day of Spring Break and allows schools to be closed on Good Friday. The School Board recognizes the lack of inclement weather days this year as well as the hard work of our staff and students. 🏆ACHS is thrilled to announce that on March 2 & 3 our robotics team, the “Cyber Raiders,” won 5 preliminary matches and were chosen as an Alliance Member to compete in the playoffs. 🤖🎉 The Cyber Raiders won a trophy for “Most Resourceful” for unique problem solving skills displayed while preparing their robot for preliminary inspection. Over the weekend, the ACHS DECA Club traveled to Virginia Beach to compete at the State Level Competition. While there, Senior, Victoria Daniel was the Top Scorer in Role Play 2 for the Human Resources Management Individual Series Event. Attention ACHS parents. Prom is April 13 and the expenses of prom can definitely be overwhelming. We have a solution to help with that problem. We will be taking a group of students to the Cinderella dreams free prom dress event this Friday. Students can sign up with Ms. Gary or Ms. McDonald. This is an event you don’t want to miss. Last year we had over 25 girls attend and each of them came away with brand new or like new prom dresses for absolutely free.💚💛👗#RaidersRISE
